Our client is a leading supplier of commercial painting services. They've been in business for more than 50yrs, providing their services to a range of industries. They have a commitment to community and regularly re-invest back into the community groups and projects ranging from sporting initiatives, educational grants and food programs.
The Role:
As the new Foresperson, you will supervise employees and subcontractor crews to ensure work is conducted safely and to specification. You'll be a hands-on supervisor, working on jobs through to completion with your team, performing painting and/or rope access tasks and demonstrating best practice across all areas.

What you will need to succeed:
- Painting and Decorating Trade qualification or demonstrated experience
- Working at Heights course
- EWP course - ideally
- Understanding of Safety systems and what controls to put in place to work safely, especially working at heights
- Good levels of verbal communication
- Able to give instructions in an efficient and effective way
- Able to problem solve
- Proven attention to detail/accurate
- Able to direct small team of tradespeople
- Basic computer skills - able to access electronic systems to enter and retrieve
- Ability to undergo pre-employment screening including a Police Clearance, Working With Vulnerable People (ACT) / Working With Children Check (NSW)
About You:
You're a detail orientated, enjoy your trade and have a natural lean towards leading people on the job site. You'll be able to demonstrate:
- Previous experience in commercial painting
- Sound knowledge of safety management, risk assessment
- Great references
- Proven people leadership experience
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively
- You're ability to work to project timelines and manage competing priorities including working alongside other trades onsite
